What is SSI?

SSI — Scuba Schools International — was founded in 1970 in the USA. Today it operates 2,800+ authorized Diamond / Instructor Training Centers in 110+ countries, with more than 7,500 active instructors and digital learning materials available in over 35 languages. Its "Total Diving System" philosophy integrates theory, skill, equipment and experience modules.

MySSI and Digital Training

SSI training runs through the free MySSI app: theory modules, video lessons, log book and certifications are all in your pocket. Card replacements, renewals and upgrades are handled entirely digitally — making the learning process flexible and trackable.

SSI XR — Technical Dive Programs

SSI XR (Extended Range) is SSI's technical-diving umbrella. Programs include Nitrox, Extended Range Nitrox, Trimix, Hypoxic Trimix, decompression procedures and rebreather training. XR programs target dives beyond recreational limits, with structured gas planning and decompression management. Dive Academy Bodrum is among the small number of authorized XR centers in the region.

Who Is It For?

Recreational SSI programs are open to everyone aged 10 and up — from beginners through to those targeting a professional guide or instructor track. SSI XR is aimed at experienced divers: it requires a minimum dive log, an Advanced Adventurer (or equivalent) certification and medical clearance. We tailor individual plans for every level at Dive Academy.
